The Harvest NOT The Haters…

The contemporary message of “The Haters” has been going on for several years now and quite frankly that message is played.

Now, before y’all get all super-spiritual AND ultra-deep… The Bible does talk about having enemies. But, it’s NOT a main subject. In passing, it says that they will be your footstool and another passage it says that He prepares a feast (table) in their presence. I get all of that. My issue with this message is that all too often we are sooo focused on ourselves that we miss our true calling… Sharing salvation.

The commission is NOT, “Lord, deliver me from my haters”. Luke 14:23 KJV tells us that the commission is to “go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

Why is this highway/hedge message so important? 2 Peter 3:9 MSG says, “God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.” But, how can people change if they are exposed to His message of love, salvation, and grace?

Did you know that, on average, 106 people die EVERY MINUTE? In the time that it take you to read this entire letter over 300 people will have died.

Luke 10:2 AMP says, “He was saying to them, “The harvest is abundant [for there are many who need to hear the good news about salvation], but the workers [those available to proclaim the message of salvation] are few. Therefore, [prayerfully] ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

There are millions of people that have the received message of salvation and truth. But, what are we doing with that message once we accept it. How many people have YOU shared that message with? How many out of the 106 dead per minute did you help lead to the Lord? Or were you too busy being concerned with your ‘Haters’?

I love you ALL!!!

Untitled…

How often do we smile when we really want to cry? How often do we laugh loudly when everything within us really wants to lay on the floor and have a tantrum?

The reality of life is that we feel battle with these opposing feelings all too often.

I don’t mind sharing my feelings because I know who and what I am AND I’m comfortable in my own skin.

Today has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. Transition is not only at my doorstep but is ringing the bell… And, unlike many who see Change approaching, I’m not going to run and hide as if the Jehovah’s witnesses or the rent-to-own company is calling. I’m prepared to meet this new season head-on with all of the uncertainty that each day brings…

I must apologize to my friends and family because dealing with my emotional tirades is no easy task. But, when you truly love… you love truly.

Trust me… Soon, my words will be clear and no longer presented under this vail. I’ll be able to write as freely as I once did without fear of retribution, misinterpretation or confusion. But, until then…

My tears will continue to flow privately while I give you a grand high-five and my perceived joy will steadily blanket my sorrow.

In times like these, faith is not just a buzzword. It’s a lifeline.

The Bible reminds us that endurance precedes salvation and safety. Psalm 30:5 talks about life being in His favor. But, it also says something about weeping enduring overnight but, joy coming in the morning.

Friends, it has been a long time since I’ve written here… My prayer is that it won’t be long until I start writing again.

I love you all…
